According to motivational speaker Jim Rohn, the cure for both of these conditions lies in setting and achieving good old-fashioned goals. You’ve probably heard this advice before, but sometimes classic wisdom is also the best. Use this comprehensive and inspiring guide to get started.

Sorry but SMART goals can be overly rigid, leaving little room for creativity or adaptation to changing circumstances. The framework doesn't provide clear paths for reassessment or plan B scenarios when circumstances change, or even if goals aren't easily quantifiable. SMART goals can act as artificial ceilings, preventing individuals and organizations from reaching their full potential once the specified target is achieved.
I'd say that the PACT framework emerges as a superior alternative to SMART goals, particularly for ambitious, long-term endeavors. Unlike SMART goals, which have been criticized for encouraging mediocrity and poor performance, PACT focuses on continuous growth rather than just achieving well-defined outcomes
