While the rating tells you how good a book is according to our two core criteria, it says nothing about its particular defining features. Therefore, we use a set of 20 qualities to characterize each book by its strengths:

• Por un lado, la variable llamada “consideración”, que abarca as- pectos como son: tener en cuenta los sentimientos de los subor- dinados y sus opiniones.
• Por otro lado, la segunda variable, se llamó “iniciación de es- tructura”, que significa relación con el logro de objetivos, pla- neación y coordinación del trabajo. Como puede verse, desde el principio de lo que podríamos de- nominar el liderazgo científico aparece ya la importancia del factor emocional, cuyo origen no es nada reciente, aunque sí lo es su emer- gencia y su subrayado actual.
Es evidente que un aspecto central en la orientación a las per- sonas es el manejo de las emociones, los sentimientos, que el líder debe tener en cuenta cuando se relaciona con sus seguidores y con la gente en general.
