In 2021, the level of global wealth exceeded 2020 levels by $41.4 trillion. Adjusting for inflation and the US dollar’s appreciation, total global wealth in 2021 jumped by double-digits – some 12.7%, “the fastest rate achieved this century and almost certainly the fastest rate recorded at any time in history” – and wealth per adult swelled by 11.3% to $87,489.
