One of the most impactful ways to create a culture of inclusion and psychological safety is to speak up about subtle acts of exclusion when they happen. It is especially important for potential allies, who don’t face the same risk for speaking up about SAE as people with marginalized identities, to be able to speak up. In this talk, social scientist Dr. Michael Baran will address the complexities and the strategies for potential allies to be able to stand with and stand up for their colleagues in productive ways.
