To become a “serial winner” who repeatedly comes out on top, apply a five-step cycle of dedicating yourself to taking winning actions and maintaining your determination. The cycle’s five components – “Decide,” “Overdo,” “Adjust,” “Finish” and “Improve” – are not complex concepts. They are fundamental actions that parents teach children and they require careful thought and focus. Make sure you put these five elements to work to become a serial winner:

1. “Don’t Hesitate; Decide”

Winning is all about action. To succeed, keep moving ahead. You will always experience doubt, but push your doubts aside, be brave and take a step forward. Then take another and another. Many people fear leaving their limiting, comfortable cocoons to try something new. They believe they lack the necessary advantages to get ahead. For instance, they assume being a winner is genetic – that winners grow up in privileged environments, go to the best colleges and so on. Those ideas are myths. Many times, people with no special advantages ascend to the top, while those from better circumstances never better themselves.
